  6. Their diet is based on small fish, squids, and krill.
  7. Their wings are useless for air, but are extraordinary on water. This makes penguins very fast swimmers.

  10. One of the places with most penguins is the French island of Ile Aux Cochons, with a population of around 200,000 penguins.

  12. Some of the countries with the largest penguin populations are: Chile, Argentina, Angola, Australia, and New Zealand.
  13. The largest penguin species is the Emperor Penguin.
  14. The shortest penguin species is the Little Blue Penguin.
  15. There are 18 species of penguins in total.
  16. The animal most closely related to the penguin is the albatross.
  17. Penguins actually slid on their belly through the snow for fast transportation.
  18. There was a unique penguin species in New Zealand, but it was driven to exctinction by the local populations.
  19. The penguin body is able to absorb sea water because it filters the salt out of it.
  20. Penguins fast when they lay eggs.
