I forgot my trig but I can see if I can do something
this will be a confusing solution

if we figure out the 3rd angle, it is 55
therefor we has a sideways isocoleese triangle (see attachment)
we can draw an auxilary (imaginary) line from left tower to left side to make  2 identical right triangles with hypotonuse 5 and the angles are 35 and 55

erase all that, and now we have
draw an immaginary line (see attachmen 2) from bottom to top to represent height
I am going to try to find the base (leg)
cos=a/h
cos(70°)=x/5
times both sides by 5
5cos(70°)=x (from left tower to perpendicular line)
now

a²+b²=c²
(5cos(70°)²+h²=5²
25(cos(70°))²+h²=25
minus 25(cos(70°))² both sides
h²=25-25(cos(70°))²
h²=25(1-(cos(70°)²))
square root both sides
h=5√(1-(cos(70°)²)) or 5cos(pi/9)
evaluate with your calculator
h=4.6984km
round
h=4.7km

(I already did the first half, the Pythagorean theorem part, and the rest is easy I know that for a fact but I don't know how to
Otrada [13]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

You'll need to use the Angle Bisector Theorem.

CU / ZU = BC / BZ

From the first part of the problem, you used Pythagorean theorem to find that BZ = 10.

Let's say that CU = x.  That means ZU = 8 − x.  Plugging in values:

x / (8 − x) = 6 / 10

Cross multiply:

10x = 6(8 − x)

Solve:

10x = 48 − 6x

16x = 48

x = 3

You are responsible for hiring a company to take care of snow removal in the winter time. Company A charges an annual winter fee
Debora [2.8K]

1050 + (150)times the amount of jobs they do for you during that winter, for A. 0 + (200)times the amount of jokes they do for you during that winter, for B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Boom I would choose B because it would be cheaper, since we do most of the snow removal ourselves.

Mr.brown can type 80 words in two minutes. how many words can he type in 40 minutes?
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

1600

Step-by-step explanation:

We can setup a ratio in terms of words per minute.

Mr. Brown can type 80 words in 2 minutes, so our ratio looks like this:

40:2

In order to find how many words he can type in 40 minutes, we must set the minutes side of our ratio to 40. In order to do that, we must multiply our minutes side by a factor that makes it equal 40, and then multiply the words side by the same factor. We can divide 40 by 2 to figure out the factor, which is 20. Since the factor is 20, we must multiply it by the words side to figure out how many words he types in 40 minutes, which is 20 · 80 = 1600 words.
