I believe that Frank Bose's theory of cultural relativity was imitated when anthropologists went to Baffinland, Canada to determine the color factors of seawater. This led to "taking into account the common problem of human perception of the environment".
Bose's curiosity is compared to the actual mapping of the earth towards Eskimos' knowledge. In exploring this question, he learned of Eskomos' illustrated hospitality and was surprised that the European community thought it was better for them than anyone else.
