Which statement best describes the relationship between mr. enfield and mr. utterson in the strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyd
marissa [1.9K]

Answer: B. they're friends yet they have nothing in common.

Explanation:

In The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide, Enfield and Utterson are friends who are very fond of each other.

The answer C. would be incorrect because the two of them are very good friends and do not argue all the time, as well as the answer D., as they are obviously not enemies.

The only answer that is correct is: B. they're friends yet they have nothing in common. The two of them are distant relatives, and although they spend every Sunday going for a walk together, they do not really talk during those walks, as they do not have much in common. Since neither of them likes to gossip, they usually walk in silence.

In lines 9-27,the author develops her ideas with information from the fields of neuroscience and psychology. How does she connect
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

The author by providing an informative about the stream of conscious and unconscious construction states that friends are an important sense of validation.

Explanation:

'With friends like these..' is an informative literary text where the author describes how friends are an essential part when it comes to enjoyment of life. In lines 9 to 27 ie from the third paragraph the author explains the construction of our brain in a conscious and unconscious way. The author says we as a human being often guess about the situations when we cannot see the reality directly. And when our ideas takes the shape of reality, that's when we feel that our ideas are validate, we feel secure and happy, but when those same ideas are proved wrong, we feel unsettled and distressed.

The author then connects this information with the idea that friendships are essential to our sense of who we are. They are an important sense of validation. When a friend validates our idea that something is as we see it, when we feel reassured, relaxed, and safer.

7. A "femme fatale" is what type of character?
Brums [2.3K]
Believe the best answer for this question would be D, "archetype." A femme fatale is a character who appears in many works of literature, although she takes on different forms. She possesses many of the same qualities and performs largely the same actions, making her an archetype. She may or may not be symbolic, solitary, or heroic, which means you can rule these options out as your answer because they are not definitive. Other examples of archetypes are the hero, the wicked witch, the wise old man, etc. Hope this helps.
