General George Washington learns that Lt. Cornwallis's army is camped very near Yorktown, Virginia. He then talked to the French and moved near there. The causes were the French-American siege, the support of the French Navy, and other advantages the French and Americans got from each other

The representatives a republic must know the wishes of their voters , which was a very tough job in a large republic.
