A chromosomal mutation where a segment breaks off, flips, and then reattaches itself is called a(n): reciprocal translocation. t
lesantik [10]

Answer:

Inversion

Explanation:

This type of mutation is not as lethal on addition of deletion mutations. This is because it does not cause a frame-shift mutation.  Inversion only reverses the order of nucleotides in a section of a DNA strand and the genes in this regions may produce defective proteins.

SIMPLE STAINING OF BACTERIA AND YEAST

For staining flagella of bacteria use actively motile organisms 20 to 24 hours old, allow to diffuse in sterile water 20 to 30 minutes, transfer droplets of the suspension to clean slides and let evaporate without spreading. Then treat 2 to 4 minutes with the following mordant: tannic acid 10 or 20%, 50 cc.; ferric chloride 5%, 10 to 15 cc.; carbol fuchsin (Ziehl-Nielson), 5 cc.; hydrogen peroxide 3%, 6 to 8 cc. Wash and stain 2 to 3 minutes with a mixture of basic fuchsin, saturated alcoholic, 10 cc.; anilin oil (1 part) and 95% alcohol (3 parts) mixed, 5 cc.; distilled water, 30 cc.; acetic acid, 4%, 1 cc. ADP can convert to ATP during what transition?
vredina [299]
ADP can be converted into ATP during the addition of an inorganic phosphate. This process can be represented as phosphorylation, as molecules are simply having phosphate groups chemically added on to them, thus providing them with greater deal of energy through the new chemical bond that forms with the phosphate group.

2. If there is one carbon atom in the reactants, how many carbon atoms are in the products?
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

There is one carbon atom on the reactant side and one carbon atom on the product side.

Explanation:

The same is true for oxygen except that there are two oxygen atoms on each side (remember that the subscript of two in the oxygen molecule means that there are two oxygen atoms bonded together).
