The Iroquois longhouse were built to house 20 or more families.

The Iroquois Indian tribe was actually a confederacy of six Native American nations.  It consisted of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora.  They were a very powerful and prominent Indian tribe.

They were called Iroquois by their neighbors (the Algonkian speaking people) and European settlers.  They actually called themselves Haudenosaunee, which meant “people who live in the extended longhouses.”  The Iroquois lived in a type of dwelling known as a longhouse.  A longhouse is a long, narrow single room that was built by Native American Indians, but also by those inhabiting Asia and Europe.  Many cultures regard the longhouse as the earliest form of a permanent structure.  While the longhouse may have reached lengths of 100 meters, they were generally never wider than 5 to 7 meters.

The Iroquois longhouses had doors on both ends.  They were usually covered with animal skins during the winters to keep some of the cold air out.  Each Iroquois longhouse was designed so as many as twenty families or more could live in it.  A family would occupy a booth on either side of the hallway.  The booth had a wooden platform for sleeping.

To build the Iroquois longhouse, the Indians set poles in the ground.  Horizontal poles supported those poles.  By bending a series of poles, the Iroquois were able to create an arc shaped roof for the longhouse.  The frame of the Iroquois longhouse was made by sewing bark and using that as shingles.

Iroquois longhouses had no windows, just the doors at each end.  Missionaries wrote about how dark the inside of the houses were.  The only other openings in the house were at the ceiling.  There were holes there to allow the fire pit smoke to escape, but those holes provided very little natural light.  The fire pits were located in the hallway and shared by the families.

Discuss the philosophies of Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibnitz. How did they affect the Baroque era? Are there parts of their phil
Helga [31]

Answer:

These philosophers attempted to expand the conceptions of religion, attaching aspects of reason and critical thinking. These points were the fundamental basis of the Baroque, once this period was extremely religious, but also a moment in history when science and the thought was in development, a heritage from the Renaissance. Descartes, Spinoza and Leibinz are traditionally considered as Rationalists philosophers. Each one of them believed that our knowledge born with us (Innatism).

Explanation:

As a conception of philosophical knowledge, the Rationalism began to take shape during the Renaissance, but its early origins can go back to Greek philosophy, with Platonic idealist theses and the conception of the principle of causality. For the rationalists, all the ideas we have originate from pure rationality, which also imposes an innate conception, that is, that the ideas have innate origins in the human being, being born with us in our intellect and being used and discovered by the people who they make better use of reason.

Economic conditions of medieval age to the present using five points
irina1246 [14]

Answer: Feudalism as a fundamental socio-economic relationship of the Middle Ages.

Explanation:

Feudalism implied a hierarchy in which all social classes were included, and it functioned for centuries during the Middle Ages. At the top of the "feudal pyramid" was a king who allocated land to nobles or feudal lords, on that land worked serfs who took part of the income from the land for themselves, and in case of war, the feudal lord, in turn, had to assign a certain number of soldiers. Was a larger feudal lord had to provide a larger number of majors). The disappearance of the feudal system occurred with the emergence of the first economic relations, i.e., the emergence of private property; the king no longer had to allocate land to have an army but could hire and pay from the state treasury. Fundamental changes in economic relations that are still relevant today occurred during the XIX. century. Namely, this is the Industrial Revolution period when large capitalists appear, who pay taxes to the state for their activities, and economic relations are still in force today.

A specific gravity of value _________ in urine indicates relative hydration (enough water intake).
Andrews [41]

A specific gravity of value below 1.020 in urine indicates relative hydration (enough water intake).

Water is essential for many reasons, including regulating body temperature, keeping joints lubricated, preventing infections, delivering nutrients to cells, and keeping organs functioning properly. Hydration also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood.

According to experts, the average woman should drink 11 cups of water per day, while men should drink 16 cups for being hydrated. And not all of those cups must be made of plain water; some may be made of water flavored with fruit or vegetables (lemons, berries, orange or cucumber slices), or coffee or tea. When you don't drink enough fluids, your kidneys try to conserve water by making your urine darker in color (more concentrated). Dark yellow urine indicates that you are dehydrated and should drink more fluids to avoid dehydration.
