The correct answer is D. From farms to cities

Explanation

During the later 1800s and early 1900s  (from 1850 to 1930) in the United States industry was emerging and thus manufacturing of different products such as cars, textiles and garment were growing exponentially, due to this, factories required labor force and job opportunities in the cities were multiple in comparison to those in the countryside, because of this, people who lived on farms in the countryside started going to the cities looking for new opportunities as it was in the cities  or near to them where factories were.

What does Atticus think about Scout’s conformity to gender roles
svetlana [45]
He didn't care much about imposed gender roles. He was open minded and only wanted for Scout to be happy and to be a good person. He didn't mind if she behaved like boys did as long as she grew up to be a good person who helps others and is compassionate. This is opposed to the beliefs of her Aunt which believes that Scout should not behave as she is behaving and that she should wear dresses and learn manners like a lady and be more lady-like, as she describes it. Atticus doesn't care about things like this and cares about Scout's upbringing as a person more.

Why did the government's attempt to redistribute land to freedmen fail?
jeka57 [31]
The freed men's Bureau did redistribute large amounts of land to freedmen in some areas from wealthy southern planters and from abandoned plantations. Southern planters began to return and demand their land back, and vey few republicans wanted to live where the government could arbitrarily confiscate land from people, so much of the land was given back to its original owners
