Explanation:

Biomagnification is a phenomena in which a chemical substance enters into a food chain. The chemical substance remains undigested in the body of the organism and produces detrimental effects. The organisms at the higher trophic levels are most adversely affected as the concentration of chemical substance in such organism is the highest.

Many endangered species are predators which belong to higher trophic levels which means they feed upon organisms of lower trophic levels.  Therefore, the organisms of lower trophic levels when affected by a chemical substance when consumed by the organism of higher trophic levels will result in the biomagnification.
