The answer is D: a dull grey place.

Endgame is a play written by Samuel Beckett, one of his most memorable works. In it he explores the relationship between Hamm and his servant Clov, and both parents of the former, Nell and Nagg. In this sordid and obscure play, Beckett confines his characters to a somber abode and makes them ponder what lies beyond the window, sometimes nothing, sometimes just an unchanging and dull landscape.

Not sure I can come up with ten questions (don't have answers) but I can get you started.

1) How did you pick the title of your book, Artemis Fowl?

2) Who is your favorite character?

3) Did you write this book with the intention of having other books follow?

The most accurate way to describe the excerpt is to choose the option - it is a dependent clause. This means that something needs to be added - you need to finish the sentence so that it becomes an independent clause, and not a subordinate one.
