If the company is not reforesting, than it will constantly cut down new trees, with much higher rate than what they can reforest the cut down area, so eventually there will be no trees, so the environment will be destroyed, and the business will be left without its basic material.

If the company uses the method of reforestation though it is a different story. If for every tree that is cut, there is another one that is planted on its place, the forest will constantly be in good shape. Also, the timber in this manner will be a renewable resource, as its replenishing will be at roughly the same rate as the cutting down of the trees. The environment will stay in good condition, and the business will constantly have its basic material in order to operate.
