My daddy's a diabetic. He prevents a diabetic emergency by making sure he takes his medicines daily and he checks his glucose a lot. It's hard because every day, his glucose changes so he has to change what he eats and does. When his glucose is t too low he has little to no energy and wants to sleep. We can't let him sleep until his glucose is in a healthy range. If it's too high, he gets really thirsty and has to use the bathroom a lot. They have to make sure they don't eat a lot of carbohydrates, sugar, and unhealthy fats. On a day-to-day basis, he has to plan his food around a certain number of carbs and fats. They also need to make sure they get in some types of exercise a day. They also need to watch their glucose closely while they exercise. Being a diabetic is very hard but with proper education and a good diet, it can be manageable. My daddy took a diabetic healthy food class at hospital to help him learn how food affects his body and how to make healthier choices. He also works closely with his doctor who helps him with his medicines. From day to day , you never know what to expect so you have to be careful and watch your diet and exercise plus how much water you drink.

Sharks and other predators do not normally eat plants however they do receive some energy from plants how is this possible
Leya [2.2K]
Animals get their energy by eating food.
Some animals eat plants. These are called herbivores.
They can also be known as primary consumers.
Carp is a herbivorous fish.

Nutrition – being able to get energy out of food ... Plants get their energy from the sun. ... Some animals eat both plants ... Predators. Predators eat other animals. Sharks eat fish so they are.

Identify each event as the result of mechanical weathering or chemical weathering.
kow [346]

The following events are identified as chemical weathering:

 • The minerals in a marble statue react with water to form acids and pores in the structure.
 • The rocks in a region are streaked orange after being exposed to repeated rains.

Reason:

When the weathering process occurs due to chemical reaction, then it is considered as chemical weathering.

In the first case, minerals of marble statue are reacting with water to cause weathering. In the second case, due to the acidificaion reaction, the change of the color has happened after exposure to the repeated rains.

The following events are identified as Mechanical weathering:

 • A piece of rock crumbles after being constantly thrashed by strong waves.
 • Industrial runoff forms cracks in a rocky structure in its path.

Reason:

When the rock is broken into simple pieces without any chemical reaction it is considered as mechanical weathering.

In the first cause, due to the abrasion caused by the strong waves, weathering has happened, in the second case industrial run off may be of varying temperature and thus may cause heating or cooling of the rock and causes weathering.
