A topic I love to write about is life and it's struggles but the good that comes out of all the hard work.

You should add similes, metaphors, and rhyming.

Here's a short example:
Life is a journey,
a book of good and bad.
Life is full of rainbows and rainstorms.
Life holds your beginning, middle, and end.
Life gives you a chance to be someone.
Life offers that opportunity to do something different from everyone else.
Life makes you different from everyone else.
Life keeps you going,
to believe,
achieve,
and succeed!
Don't blame life on your rainstorms, only you can make your rainbows,
not life.

It's something I made from scratch, I'm sorry if it's bad but I hope it gives you a boost. Good Luck!!

Which statements best describe the author’s purpose for writing this passage? Select two options. to present background informat
3241004551 [841]

Hello,

I think you are talking about Sugar Changed the World.

"Nina was always a mysterious figure in the family: beautiful as a movie star, cosmopolitan and elegant, with wide Slavic cheeks. She spoke only Russian, though she lived much of her adult life in Tel Aviv. There were rumors that she came from nobility and that she had once been very rich. She and Avram were thought of as a glamorous couple—he the charming man with his head in the clouds (in Yiddish the word for that kind of person is luftmensh, "air man''), she the mysterious beauty who had given up everything to be with him."

Answer:

In this passage, the author presents background information about Nina by providing us personal information about her and historical facts about her life; he also describes the mystery,  controversial and weirds topics that have been taking place during her life.

His 2nd porpuse was to show how Nina was able to mislead people: We can see how she was able to trick people, she was a liar: she spoke Russian, but she knew speak Hebrew.

Next time, please, add the passage. :) Thanks!

Difference between climate and weather?
Alex

Answer:

• Climate is the pattern of weather that the region experiences over a long period. Weather changes from time to time or even moment to moment.

• Climate is the weather of a locality averaged over some period (usually 30 years). Weather varies on short term basis.

• Weather is a combination of wind, temperature, cloudiness, precipitation and visibility. The factors affecting climate are mountain ranges, attitudes, large water bodies.

• Weather is dynamic and always changing whereas climatic is constant for a long time may be years or decades.

• Humid is a type of climate whereas rain is a type of weather.

• For example, if it is cool on a particular day then, we are talking about weather but if it is cool over a season for several months then, we are talking about climate.

• Climate is what you expect according to averages of atmospheric conditions collected over several years at a place. Weather is what you get on a particular day.

• Weather is the exact temperature at a given amount. Climate is the overall temperature at a given area.

• Weather changes but climate is not changeable. Climate is recorded over a period whereas weather is the current condition.

In short, climate is the statistical average weather information in a region, whereas weather is the day-to- day state of the atmosphere at a specific place and time. Climate is a study of climatology and weather is a study of meteorology. Small changes in Earth’s orbital pattern around the Sun can have major effects on climate. Human activities also can affect the climate, especially the actions related to the depletion in the ozone layer is an important factor.
