When writing about a company in a paper, do I refer to the company as "they" or "it"? ...?

It depends on what you are referring to.
If you are talking about the company itself, for example, when it was founded, you will say <em>it - </em>It was founded in 1993.
However, if you are talking about its employees, then you should use <em>they.</em>

I wouldn't use the word "discovered" it just seems a bit off. I'd rewrite the sentence with a simpler word yet easy to say and understand: "When we searched the school for damage, a new broken window was found." I hope this helps you. My apologies if this is incorrect.

When we add the suffix to the words ending with vowel, again there is no change, because the suffix begins with a consonant. For example, state + <em>ment </em>= statement or force + <em>ful </em>= forceful.
