The option that would most improve the coherence of an essay is D: using transitional words to help readers see the relationship between ideas.

This would help the reader to follow the thoughts and deductions that led the author through the whole essay and it will reach the objective of gradually showing the path from the first idea to the final work.

According to Coretta Scott King, what was one thing that contributed to the success of the
Otrada [13]

Answer:

The Implementation of carpools.

Explanation:

Cooperative involvement, especially in the organization of the Montgomery Bus Boycott by civil rights leaders was also a major factor that contributed to the protest’s success. As asserted, the arrest of Rosa Parks sparked an outrage especially among African Americans living in Montgomery. Seeing this as an opportunity, civil rights leaders worked together in an effort to organize one of the largest mass protest movements in the United States. The Women’s Political Council (WPC), organized the start of the protests during early hours of the morning. Aside from this, activist JoAnn Robinson and the women of the WPC engaged in the distribution of the leaflet that detailed the boycott campaign by establishing distribution routes and disseminating tens of thousands of the respective manuscript across Montgomery. Additionally, meetings organized by civil rights leaders, such as Martin Luther King, were also instrumental in establishing a unified mass protest movement as evidenced by the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

What is the most overused cliche, and how can these get in the way of critical thinking
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Cliches like "in the nick of time", "throughout history", "in this day and age", "little did i know" and "good things come to those who wait" are some of the most overused and annoying cliches. Cliches are usually not acceptable in academic writing because of a few factors:

1. Cliches sometimes make you seem boring. When using a cliche, you are giving the reader the impression that you lack originality, which will make them want to stop reading your paper.

2. Cliches make you seem lazy. The reader will just assume that you do not want to put your mind to something and be creative.

3. Cliches make you lose credibility. The person reading your paper will not trust you as a valid source if you cannot come up with a better description than a cliche.

4. Cliches cannot be used as actual evidence. Because cliches are not specific, they do not offer strong enough commentary to prove your point.

To conclude, cliches are overused and will not help you in any way while writing a paper.

Hope this helps:)
