Given a regular octagon find the measures of the angles formed by 2 consecutive radii and a radius and a side of the polygon

There are 8 radials in the octagon so the angle between 2 will be 360/8= 45
The octagon is made up of 8 isosceles triangles. If the vertex of the isosceles triangle is 45 then the angle opposite the two side will be (180 -45) /2 =67.5

Sorry if it seems confusing. I had a similar question in my notebook so I looked off that. I hope this helps and I apologize if it's wrong!

Measure of Angle 1 is 5x.
Measure of Angle 3 is x-24.

What is the measure of Angle 1?
olga55 [171]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: 30°

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

m∠ 1 = 5x

m∠ 3 = x - 24

Process

m ∠ 1 = m ∠ 3 because they are vertical angles

            5x = x - 24

            5x - x = 24

            4x = 24

            x = 24 / 4

            x = 6

Angle 1 = 5(6)

            = 30°

Please help me with this
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

0.6

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that there are 5 counters in total. 3 white and 2 black.

So we know that 3 out of 5 are white and 2 out of 5 are black.

Therefore the chance to get white is 3/5. And for black: 2/5.

We can turn these into decimals, 3/5 = 0.6 (You can make it 6/10 to make it easier.)

And 2/5 = 0.4 (You can make it 4/10 to make it easier.)

Answering the question, you should put your cross/marker on 0.6

Officials project that between 2010 and 2050, the population of a certain city will drastically change. The model below gives th
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

In the year 2010, the population of the city was 175,000

Step-by-step explanation:

If we rewrote this as a linear expression in standard form (it is linear, btw), it would look like this:

P(t)=\frac{11}{2}t+175

The rate of change, the slope of this line, is 11/2. If the year 2010 is our time zero (in other words, we start the clock at that year), then 0 time has gone by in the year 2010. In the year 2011, t = 1 (one year goes by from 2010 to 2011); in the year 2012, t = 2 (two years have gone by from 2010 to 2012), etc. If we plug in a 0 for t we get that y = 175,000. That is our y-intercept, which also serves to give us the starting amount of something time-related when NO time has gone by.
