Answer:

Fur colour can be represented by both the dominant and the recessive alleles of the gene encoding the fur color.

Explanation:

  • Considering that the fur colour trait follows Mendelian laws of inheritance.
  1. The dominant allele can express itself in both the homozygous and heterozygous condition.
  2. The recessive allele can represent itself only in the homozygous condition.
  3. Therefore, there will be two phenotypes, one will be represented by both the homozygous dominant and heterozygous dominant genotypes and the other represented by the homozygous recessive genotype.
  • Considering that the fur colour trait does not follows Mendelian laws of inheritance (Incomplete Dominance or Codominance).
  1. In Incomplete dominance, three phenotypes are observed, for each of homozygous dominant, heterozygous dominant and homozygous recessive genotypes respectively.
  2. In Codominance,  phenotypes of both the dominant and recessive genotype is shown in the same individual.

(1) wave frequency is the number of waves passing a point at a certain time. Usually, this is expressed in a unit of 1/s or Hz.
                f = (600 waves) / (8 hours x 3600 seconds/1 hour) = 1/48 or 0.02 Hz
(2) wave period, T = 1/f
                                   T = 1/48 Hz = 48 s
(3) wave speed
                               speed = (600 waves)(3 ft/1 wave) / 8 hours
                                                 = 225 ft/h

Vesnalui [34]

Question in English:

The concept of gene flow is demonstrated when a cow is expelled from her herd, joins another herd, and reproduces. When the cow contributes to the gene pool of the new herd, which of these is most likely to increase?

A. Natural selection

B. Genetic variation

C. Environmental suitability

D. Reproductive mutations

Answer:

B. Genetic variation/Variación genética

Explanation:

When an organism from one population enters a new population that does not normally mix, it brings with it its own unique genetic variation.

Its new alleles are introduced into the new population when the cow breeds, enhancing the amount of gene variation in the new herd. This is how gene flow increases variation
