We need to set up a proportion.

9/2 = x/36

x is the amount that we need to find for. We need to solve for x so we can figure out the answer.

9/2 = x/36

First, we cross multiply

9*36 = 2x
324 = 2x

Next, we divide each side by 2.

2x/2 = 324/2

The 2's cross out.

x= 324/2
x= 162

Our final answer is that it will cost Jeff $162 if he has 36 attendees at the conference.

Hope I helped! :D

If its $9 for two people then that mean it costs $4.50 for one person so just multiply 36 times $4.50 which is $162 . hope i helped

What if Randy needs an equal number if bowls and cups for his picnic how many packs of each will he need to buy bowls number 1 p
nata0808 [166]
In order to find this, you will need to find the LCM of 8 and 6. This would be 24. For Bowls, 6*4 is 24 and cups 8*3 is 24.
So therefore
Bowls: 4 packs of 6
Cups: 3 packs of 8

Every day after school, Kelly and Bella walk their dogs around the block. The block is 274 meters long and 80 meters wide. What
trapecia [35]

Answer:

708meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Lenght = 274meters

Width= 80 meters

The expression for the perimeter is

P= 2L+2W

substitute

P= 2*274+ 2*80

P= 548+160

P= 708 meters

Hence the perimeter of the block is 708meters

Center (8,9) and radius r=10
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

A. Standard form: (x-8)^2+(y-9)^2=100

B. General form: x^2+y^2-16x-18y+45=0

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that center of a circle is at point (8,9) and radius of our circle is 10 units. We are asked to write the equation of our circle.

A. Since we know that the equation of a circle in standard form is: (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2, where,

(x,y) = Any point on circle,

(h,k) = Center of the circle,

r = Radius of the circle.

Upon substituting our given values in standard form of circle's equation we will get,

(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2=10^2

(x-8)^2+(y-9)^2=100

Therefore, the equation of our given circle in standard form will be (x-8)^2+(y-9)^2=100.

B. Since we know that equation of a circle in general form is: x^2+y^2+Ax+By+C=0, where, A, B and C are constants.

Upon expanding our standard form of equation we will get,

x^2-16x+64+y^2-18y+81=100

x^2-16x+64+y^2-18y+81-100=100-100

x^2-16x+y^2-18y+64+81-100=0

x^2-16x+y^2-18y+45=0

x^2+y^2-16x-18y+45=0

Therefore, the equation of our given circle in general form will be x^2+y^2-16x-18y+45=0.
