In what ways did confucianism, daoism, and legalism influence political rule in ancient<br> China?
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

They provided different forms of government to rule with.

Explanation:

Confucianism became very popular in ancient China. The civil service exam was based off Confucianism and required applicants to be well versed in Confucian teachings to be part of the bureaucracy. This helped organize the government because Confucius preached that the people obey their rulers and the rulers will properly protect and provide for their people. It was popular in the Song Dynasty.

Taoism (also called Daoism) believed in being one with nature. And thus, they favored a laissez faire government (which means the government doesn't include themselves into economic affairs) and a small government.

Legalism believed in a strict set of laws because "no human is truly good". This heavily influenced the formation of the Qin Dynasty as laws became much stricter with very harsh punishments. This was an ideal way of keeping order in ancient society.

What were some of the positive and negative consequences of the columbian exchange
Alex777 [14]

The Columbian Exchange had positive and negative consequences.

Some of the positive consequences were the introduction of different nutrients and food supplies into the Old World, such as corn or potatoes. This improved the diet of most Europeans, leading to a population growth in the next generations.

However, Europe benefited more than the Americas, for some of the negative consequences about the Columbian Exchange were the introduction of diseases into the continent and the slavery of African populations into the Americas.
