However, many also recommend, as a second source of inspiration, using the works of other writers, as these will not only give ideas, but also show the new writer the techniques that can be used to express ideas.

Negative self-concept- A person who has a hard time accepting criticisms or negative feedback has a negative self-concept. He lacks confidence and is insecure.

For me, gender and appearance influence my self-concept. My gender tells me the positive side of being a woman (since I'm a lady). It gives me awareness on how a good woman should behave in the society. Next, my appearance. As I get older, I realize that I needed to change my fashion according to my age. This affects my self-concept.

In order to have a positive self-concept, it is very important to accept your flaws as a person. If you're contented of who you are, you will feel more secure. You also won't get trapped in competing with other people for power and fame. Comparing yourself with others will make you even more distant and insecure.
