Graph the system of equations on your graph paper to answer the question. {y=x−4

The first line is y=x-4

Let x=0, we get y=-4 our first coordinate is (0,-4)

Let y=0, we get x=4, second coordinate is (4,0)

Plot the given coordinates on the graph paper, join the line passing through these points as shown in the attached image.

The second line is y=-x+6

Let x=0, we get y=6 our first coordinate is (0,6)

Let y=0, we get x=6, second coordinate is (6,0)

In the similar manner, plot the given coordinates on the graph paper,join the line passing through these points as shown in the attached image.

The solution of the given system of equations is the point of intersection of both the lines which is (5,1). The point of intersection can be seen in the attached image.

sweet [91]

Answer:

D: (2x + 20°) + x° = 180°

Step-by-step explanation:

Supplementary angles add up to 180°, so that rules out A and C as possible answers.

Answer B has only one angle, so that is out too.

2x + 20° represents one angle, and x represents the other angle

Rearrange the quadratic equation so that it is equal to 0. Then factor the equation.
Gnom [1K]
First add the 2x to the other side and subtract 24. This leaves you with X^2 -2x -24 =0 Now you can factor it by finding two numbers that multiply to -24 and add to -2. This is -6 and +4. Now set that as (x-6) and (x+4) you can check this answer by using FOIL.... First outer inner last, by multiplying each of those terms and you should get your original equation. I hope that helps!

Can anyone assist with this
Naddika [18.5K]

Every time we increas x by 1, we also increase y by 9. This means that the slope is 9:

m = \dfrac{\Delta y}{\Delta x} = \dfrac{9}{1} = 9

When you know the slope m of a line and one of its points (x_0,y_0), you can write the equation of the line using the formula

y-y_0=m(x-x_0)

In your case, if for example we use the first point, we have

y-7=9(x-1) \iff y=9x-9+7 \iff y=9x-2

Using the chart "Amount of $1 at Compound Interest" from previous reading section "More Compound Interest", find the total amoun
vitfil [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula used for any interest other then continuously is

A=P(1+r/n)^nt

so... r=rate in decimal form ONLY n=how often interest is paid t=time passed

A=3000(1+.08/1)^(1)(5) = annually

A=3000(1+.08/2)^(2)(5)

A=3000(1+.08/4)^(4)(5)

use you calculator to get the answer

it is good practice to use your calculator now because soon you will be using it for population questions and those need to be entered very carefully.
