Hi? This cartoon represents who has the responsibility to cure or relieve the symptoms of the depression that struck America and its people. gives Uncle Sam many different kinds of “medicine,” including programs like the National Industry Recovery Act, the Civil Works Administration, and the Agricultural Adjustment Act. In addition,is carrying a bag of New Deal “remedies,” which can provide even more relief for America. reassures Congress that the “remedies” do not necessarily guarantee success and changes can be made. At the time, approved and passed many legislations, in hopes to fix America. Many people were doubting whether these programs would actually help or even make things worst. This political cartoon supports and his policies and puts the New Deal in a positive light. This is because Uncle Sam is shown to be in good spirits, after trying the New Deal medicines. Additionally, the cartoon depicts as a man, who is understanding because he knows that the programs might not work and has a bag of solutions prepared.

1.) A big part of the population,  saw the new deal as an ineffective way to tackle the economic crisis. Also, these policies were considered merely as Roosevelt's short term treatment, while congress simply allowed him to carry on trying other ineffective "solutions".

2.) No, the cartonist implies that the chage of remedies will be constant by drawing a lot of bottles (possible remedies) in the table, while the statement also points that these remedies need to be changed because they are non-effective.

How did the pressure Governor Orval Faubus faced in Arkansas impact his actions? How is this different from the Supreme Court?
Masteriza [31]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

The pressure Governor Orval Faubus faced in Arkansas impacted his actions in that he had to finally accept the court decision of integration of the Little Rock Nine to Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Arkansas Governor, Orval Faubus, defied the federal government decision and blocked black teenagers from attending Little Rock Central High School.

The Major of Little Rock asked President Dwight Eisenhower for help and the President sent the National Guard to protect the nine African American kids from aggressions on the part of white people.

The Little Rock Crisis started when nine African American students were prevented from entering the public school premises in Little Rock Central High School. State governor Orval Faubus gave the order. The decision made the news and generated consternation in many citizens. The decision tarnished the reputation of the state to the degree that President Dwight Eisenhower had to intervene to resolve the issue and the students could get access to the school.
