Plants give the earth life. They help us breath, and eat. There are thousands of types of plants including, flowers, weeds, trees, and so much more! We can compost plants to help our gardens grow, we feed lots of animal plants. For example, horses and cattle eat wheat, deer eat plants, and then predators eat the animals that the plants were fed to. Plants help maintain the eco system. In conclusion, plants are extremely helpful.

Hope this helped!‍

The plants that are likely most familiar to us are the multi cellular land plants, called embryophytes. Embryophytes include the vascular plants, such as ferns, conifers, and flowering plants. They also include the bryophytes, of which mosses and liverworts are the most common.

Joan the acr, the fifteenth century rebel warrior who was burned at the stake, ____ the authorities’ order to ___ her beliefs
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

Joan of Arc, the fifteenth century rebel warrior who was burned at the stake, defied the authorities’ order to renounce her beliefs.

Explanation:

Joan of Arc was born in a turbulent time when the Hundred Years' War had ravaged for well over ninety years. Her homeland was divided into two: the Armagnacs wanted to expel the English, and the Burgundians concluded an alliance with them. That made it impossible for France to win. The English dissatisfaction with the French interference in the king's vassals led to fierce battles over who should inherit the French throne. Joan of Arc started hearing voices when she was 12 years old. She thought she heard the voice of God. The voice told her that she should liberate France. The northern part of France was under English rule. In Joan's time, the war entered a new chapter, when England and France were to have new kings: In England, an infant was heir to the throne. In France, the later Charles VII awaited the next step that could lead him to the French throne. Joan of Arc, who had come to crown her king and liberate her people, ended her short life on the heresy fire; convicted of dressing in men's clothing and of mocking the church and God, who she believed had imposed on her her mission.

Complete the sentence with an appropriate INTENSIVE PRONOUN. Diana found the story difficult to believe
ivanzaharov [21]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Complete the sentence with an appropriate intensive pronouns.

Diana found the story difficult to believe______________.

A. she

B. itself

C. herself

Answer:

Diana found the story difficult to believe herself.

Explanation:

Intensive pronouns are used to emphasize the nouns they refer to. We need to be careful because intensive pronouns and reflexive pronouns are actually the same - myself, yourself, himself, etc. It is the use in context that differs.

In the sentence we are supposed to complete, we need to choose the appropriate intensive pronoun among the options. Since "she" is a subject pronoun, we can already eliminate it. If we use "itself", we will be emphasizing "story". However, the person who has difficulty believing the story is Diana. She is the one who should be emphasized. Therefore, we can eliminate "itself" and safely choose "herself".

Diana found the story difficult to believe herself.
