"In this crisis I hope I may be pardoned if I do not address the House at any length today. I hope that any of my friends and co

lleagues, or former colleagues, who are affected by the political reconstruction, will make allowance, all allowance, for any lack of ceremony with which it has been necessary to act. I would say to the House, as I said to those who have joined this government: "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat." We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind."

C. “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat.”

Pathos in rhetoric is a persuasion strategy based on eliciting feelings in the audience, it is an appeal to their emotions. In this manner, the phrase, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat.” is the one that most sparks feelings in the audience through the use of vivid language. Other argumentative strategies worth mentioning are those based on character (ethos) and reason/logic (logos), thus the trio: logos, ethos and pathos.

Identify the type of verbal used in the following sentence.
NISA [10]
An infinitive is the verb form using the word "to," as in "to eat," "to play," or "to read." An infinitive phrase includes the base infinitive plus other modifiers or complements. An infinitive phrase can often be used as the subject of a sentence because it refers to the act itself rather than doing the action. In this case, "to make it to the end of the day" is an infinitive phrase acting as the subject of the sentence.

Which logical fallacy appears in the passage

please help
balu736 [363]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Explanation:

Post hoc ergo propter hoc is a fallacy that refers to pseudocausality, that is, the situation that appears to be the result of causality between two events, although a closer examination of the situation would show that this is not the case.

That is, a correlation does not necessary imply causation, even if the connection may appear causal. Therefore, without a causal connection, cause and effect are arbitrarily assigned without a well-founded justification.
