B. Helen should have added 17 to both sides of the equation.
When trying to solve an equation like that with a variable, you have to make sure both sides are even. Whatever you do to one side, you have to do to the other. So, if you add 17 to one side to cancel it out, you have to add 17 to the other side as well.

1.Un cazador ubicado en la coordenada C (-5,8) y un venado ubicado en las coordenadas V (7,1). Escala 1 unidad = 10 ma)Determina
True [87]

The distance between the coordinates in meters is 138.92m

Using the distance formula to calculate the distance between the coordinates as shown:

D = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2} \\

Given the coordinate points C(-5, 8) and V (7, 1)

Substitute the given coordinates into the formula

D = \sqrt{(7+5)^2+(1-8)^2} \\D = \sqrt{(12)^2+(-7)^2} \\D = \sqrt{144+49} \\D = \sqrt{193} \\D=13.892 units

Given that 1 unit = 10metres

D = 13.892 * 10

D = 138.92 meters

Hence the distance between the coordinates in meters is 138.92m
