You may have seen the star Betelgeuse (BEETLE juice) in the night sky. It is a red giant star, which has a radius of 821.3 milli

on kilometers. By comparison, our Sun has a radius of 0.5 million kilometers. Suppose the circle shown represents our Sun. How big would the model of Betelgeuse be if you drew it to scale?

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ratio of radii=ratio of diameters=(1642.6)/1=1642.6

ratio of volume=\frac{\pi R^{3}}{\pi  r^{3}}\\=(\frac{R}{r})^3\\=(\frac{2R}{2r})^3\\=(\frac{D}{d})^3\\=(\frac{1642.6}{1})^3\\=(1642.6)^3

A point G on a segment on a segment with endpoints F(4, 8) and H(10, 12) partitions the segment in a 3:4 ratio. Find G. You must
Andru [333]

Suppose, we are given

two points as

F as (x1, y1)

H as (x2, y2)

assume  it divides  in m/n

we can use formula

G=(x,y)=(\frac{mx_2+nx_1}{m+n}, \frac{my_2+ny_1}{m+n})

now, we are given points as

F=(x1, y1)=(4,8)

x_1=4,y_1=8

H=(x2, y2)=(10,12)

x_2=10, y_2=12

\frac{m}{n} =\frac{3}{4}

so,

m=3,n=4

now, we can find

x=(\frac{3*10+4*4}{3+4}, y=\frac{3*12+4*8}{3+4})

x=\frac{46}{7} , y=\frac{68}{7}

so, point is

G=(\frac{46}{7} , \frac{68}{7}).................Answer

Can someone pls help me
zavuch27 [327]
So the first thing you have to do is look at the input and output values and find the pattern. This is probably the hardest part. So 32-12=20 and 14-12=2 so we found the pattern all you have to do is find whats missing. So we have a blank and then a 14, all you do is add 12 to the 14 to find the input so the input for that would be 26 and now to find the other missing term you subtract 12 and that gives you -22. I hoped that helped.

Answer:

$960

Step-by-step explanation:

take the total salary to be 100%, since the taxes are 20% subtract 20% from 100% to get 80% which will represent the left over after the taxes have been taken so say if 100%=$1200 what about 80% 80times 1200 then divide by 100.

You are going to Europe for vacation and must exchange your money. The exchange rate of Euros to
Helen [10]

Answer:

The exchange rate for Dollars to Euros is of 1.33.

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is solved by proportions, using a rule of three.

Exchange rate for Dollars to Euros.

We want to find the number of dollars in a euro.

In 375 euros, there are 500 dollars, so how many dollars in 1 euro?

375 euros - 500 dollars

1 euro - x dollars

Applying cross multiplication:

375x = 500

x = \frac{500}{375}

x = 1.33

The exchange rate for Dollars to Euros is of 1.33.
