A need is defined as essential things for humans to survive (food, clothing, shelter, water).  The need of a Chick-Fil-A customer is food.  A want is defined as something the changes over time and is not necessary for survival.  A want is related to a need.  Demand is defined as something a customer is willing to pay for to satisfy a need or a want.

Chick-fil-a is a fast food restaurant in the United States which specializes in chicken sandwiches. When discussing the needs of the customers, we can identify food and drink. Needs are things that people cannot live without. Wants refer to things that a person desires, even though these are not necessary. A want could be a new type of sandwich. Finally, a demand is something that a person expects. The restaurant customers demand that food is available at the restaurant whenever the restaurant is open.
