A) Area= Base x Height

we are given the base of 3m and the height of 7m. multiply to get your answer.

3m x 7m = 21m

Area = 21m

for perimeter you will add all the sides up. make sure to fill in blank spots on one side with the answers from the other side. what i mean is 9.5 is listed on one side but not the other so you would put it over on the other side as well and add it in. exclude the height. It is not used in perimeter if it is not a side length.

3m + 9.5m + 3m + 9.5m = 25m

Perimeter = 25m

To find the area of a rectangle or a square you need to multiply the length and the width of a rectangle or a square. There are different units for perimeter and area The perimeter has the same units as the length of the sides of rectangle or square whereas the area'sunit is squared.

A garden is made up of two squares and a quarter circle. What is the area of the garden?
Elanso [62]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  100.27 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of each square is ...

  A = s^2 = (6 ft)^2 = 36 ft^2

The area of the 1/4 circle is ...

  A = 1/4πr^2 = 1/4π(6 ft)^2 = 9π ft^2 ≈ 28.27 ft^2

__

The area of the garden is the sum of the areas of the quarter circle and the two squares:

  A = 28.27 ft^2 + 2×36 ft^2 = 100.27 ft^2

The area of the garden is about 100.27 square feet.
