A triangular prism has a base that is 6 cm by 4 cm and a height of 8 cm. If all dimensions are tripled, what happens to the volu
lana [24]
Im assuming the base of the triangle is 4cm. The volume is 96cm^{3}.
If the dimensions are tripled, the base is 12, the height is 24, and the length is 18. The volume is  2592cm^{3}, which is 27 times bigger.
If you are increasing each side by a factor of x, you are multiplying the original by x^{3}

208 in^2

find the area of each of the parts (4 triangles and 1 square)

all of the triangles have the same area since this is a square pyramid
area of triangle = (base X height)/2
so it would be (8 X 9)/2 = 36

for the square, the area is length X width
so it would be 8 X 8 = 64

add all the areas
36+36+36+36+64 = 208
