Xelga [282]

By the end of their first year in office, Nixon and Kis-singer had conc-luded that the most effect-ive way to tip the military bal-ance in America's favor was to destroy mili-tary bases in Cam-bodia.

Kis-singer served as Nation-al Security Advisor and Secre-tary of State under Presi-dent Richard Nixon, and continued as Secre-tary of State under Nixon's succe-ssor Gerald Ford. With the death of Geo-rge Shultz in Feb-ruary 2021, Kis s-inger is the last surv-iving member of the Nixon administ-ration Cabinet.

Nixon and Kis-singer were both comm-itted to a real-ism that focused on American eco-nomic advant-ages and jettisoned moral-ism in foreign policy, seeking détente with Comm-unism and confront-ation with old allies who now had beco-me economic advers-aries.

g100num [7]

Answer:

look below

Explanation:

right so when japan attacked America in 1941 they thought that they would do anything to stop a war like negotiate or something. but instead they just stirred a sleeping beast. because america was the richest country at the moment and the leader in economics. a couple hours after pearl habour lady lex ( formerly known USS Lexington ) USS enterprise and York Town were on the hunt to find the japenese task force that sent the carrier- based aircraft. japan had already invaded half of asia but they obviously didnt have enough resources to power their navy and air force the heart of the japenese power. they tried to knock australia out of the war by doing a secong pearl habour on them sinking some scout planes warships and subs. they also destroyed some artilery batteries. but that werent enough. to the end of the japenese they were so desperate that they were using kamikaze planes, rockets and subs. they even sent Yamato to beach it self on the beaches of okinawa to stop the americans and use the ship as a giant artilery platform.

Did the north secede from the union during the civil war? why or why not?
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

North Carolina waited longer than any other state except Tennessee to secede from the Union and join the Confederacy. This is not to say that the Old North State had no secessionists. Rather, North Carolinians had conflicting ideas about leaving the Union.

Explanation:

Although staunch supporters of slavery, many North Carolinians hesitated when it came to taking such a significant step as secession. Some felt it better to stay in the Union and enjoy the Constitutional protections offered there, rather than give up those protections to embark on a new journey. However, when Confederate forces fired upon Fort Sumter and President Abraham Lincoln asked for troops from North Carolina to put down the rebellion, the state acted swiftly and decisively. North Carolina seceded from the Union on May 20, 1861, and the state's involvement in the Civil War began.
