Yes. Seven out of ten is more than half. Anything over 5/10 would be more than half and anything lower than 4/10 is less than half. Just try and think about what the denominator is when it's divided by two.

Yes, 7/10=0.7 1/2=0.5
0.7>0.5
therefore, 7/10>1/2, therefore more than half of the human body is composed of water

Answer:

The type of evidence used in the passage is:

A. statistical evidence.

Explanation:

In the passage we are analyzing here, the author mentions a couple of percentages to make his point. This is an example of statistical evidence. This type of evidence relies on numbers, usually resulting from surveys and researches, to offer support to a claim. If I say, for instance, that 70% of people who eat eggs lose fat and gain mass more quickly than those who do not eat eggs, I will be using statistical evidence to prove my point that eating eggs is helpful for bodybuilders - that is just an example.

</span><span>"I didn't want a song to depress people. I wanted to write a song to make people think. It isn't a hand-me-out song of 'give me a dime, I'm starving, I'm bitter', it wasn't that kind of sentimentality" - Jay Gorney's answer in an interview.</span><span>
