It shows dark and rich colors, pops of color and contrasts. You probably wouldn’t understand the message when looking directly at this particular painting, but one thing is clear. The darkness it symbolizes. The dark colors of blue and hues of red are a clear sign of anger, sadness, despair, and war. Which is actually what is happening here. This love story is a united story that ends in death.
