You can set up an equation for this. if x is the amount of weeks, and m is total money, then it'd be
500+75x=m
plug numbers in
3 weeks: 500+75*3=$725
10 weeks: 500+75*10=$1250
6 months, each month having 4 weeks, is 24 weeks
500+24*75=$2300

People from East Coast and Midwest carry different types of credit cards. Credit Card Visa Master American Express Discover East
Ratling [72]

Answer:

A. 0.14

B. 0.0048

C. 0.3467

Step-by-step explanation:

You are given the table

\begin{array}{ccccc}\text{Credit Card}&\text{Visa}&\text{Master}&\text{American Express}&\text{Discover}\\ \\\text{East Coast}&0.45&0.37&0.16&0.02\\\text{Midwest}&0.40&0.43&0.03&?\end{array}

The sum in each row must be equal to 1, so

0.40+0.43+0.03+?=1\\ \\?=1-0.86=0.14

Hence, the table is

\begin{array}{ccccc}\text{Credit Card}&\text{Visa}&\text{Master}&\text{American}&\text{Express}\\ \\\text{East Coast}&0.45&0.37&0.16&0.02\\\text{Midwest}&0.40&0.43&0.03&0.14\end{array}

A. The probability that a person from Midwest has Discover card is

0.14

B. The probability that a person chosen at random from East Coast and Midwest, independently of one another, both have type American Express is

0.16\cdot 0.03=0.0048

C. The probability that a person chosen at random from East Coast and Midwest, independently of one another, both have the same type of credit card is

0.45\cdot 0.40+0.37\cdot 0.43+0.16\cdot 0.03+0.02\cdot 0.14=0.3467

Determine the diameter of the circle with the equation x 2+ y 2= 9.
kotegsom [21]

Answer: d = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 + y^2 = r^2

So r = 3 and d will be 2 x r = 6

1. The Cajun Heartland State Fair charges $1.25 per ticket for the rides. Johnny bought 25 tickets for the rides and spent a tot
vladimir1956 [14]

<u>Part (a)</u>

The variable y is the dependent variable and the variable x is the independent variable.

<u>Part (b)</u>

The cost of one ticket is $1.25. Therefore, the cost of 25 tickets will be: .

Now, we know that Johnny spent his money only on ride tickets and fair admission and that he spent a total of $43.75.

Therefore, the price of the fair admission is: $43.75-$31.25=$12.5

If we use y to represent the total cost and x to represent the number of ride tickets, the linear equation that can be used to determine the cost for anyone who only pays for ride tickets and fair admission can be  written as:

y=1.25x+12.5......Equation 1

<u>Part (c)</u>

The above equation is logical because, in general, the total cost of the rides will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought and that will be 1.25x. Now, even if one does not take any rides, that is when x=0, they still will have to pay for the fair admission, and thus their total cost, y=$12.5.

Likewise, any "additional" cost will depend upon the number of ride tickets bought as already suggested. Thus, the total cost will be the sum of the total ride ticket cost and the fixed fair admission cost. Thus, the above Equation 1 is the correct representative linear equation of the question given.
