To find out total costs after tax simply set up a proportion. Here is my work:

1. 6.25/100 = 707.98/x (part/whole = is/of)

2. Cross multiply to get 707.98(100) = 6.25(x)

3. Solve 70798 = 6.25x by dividing to get x = 11327.68.

After the sales tax, your total is $11327.68. Hope this helped :))

Answer:

Here we will use the relationships:

a^n*a^m = a^{n + m}

(a^n)^m = a^{n*m}

\frac{a^n}{a^m} = a^{n - m}

And a number:

a^n

is between 0 and 1 if a is positive and larger than 1, and n is negative.

if a is positive and 0 < a < 1, then we need to have n positive such that:

0 < a^n < 1

A) 5^3*5^{-4} = 5^{3 + (-4)} = 5^{-1}

This is between zero and 1,

B) \frac{3^5}{3^{-6}} = 3^{5 - (-6)} = 3^{11}

This is greater than 1, because the exponent is positive.

C) (\frac{1}{4})^3*( \frac{1}{4})^2 = (\frac{1}{4})^{2 + 3} = (\frac{1}{4})^5

Because a is smaller than 1, and the exponent is positive, then the expression is between 0 and 1.

D) \frac{(-7)^5}{(-7)^7} = (-7)^{5 - 7} = -7^{-2}

The exponent is negative (and pair) then the expression is between 0 and 1.

Remember that when the exponent is pair, we always have that:

(-N)^m = (N)^m

So (-7)^-2 = 7^-2

The mean of Alice's last 5 math test scores is 88. The first 4 of these 5 math test scores were 87, 75, 93, and 85. What score d
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x is the score she got on the fifth test.

Since her average score is 88, the sum of all five tests is 5×88.

x + 87 + 75 + 93 + 85 = 5×88 = 440

x = 440 -  87 - 75 - 93 - 85

x = 100

She got a 100 on her fifth test.

Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

<u><em>C. strong negative</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason why is because, the student's grade is falling dramatically while they watch TV. So therefore, we can erase A and D. B maybe however, it isn't "weak" but it is a heavy decrease. Therefore, your answer would be C.
