In an oligarchy a few people control most or all of the money and power in that country. The wealthiest people most likely benefit from this arrangement. In a communist system the leaders seek to distribute money and power equally among all the people. The wealthiest people therefore would lose a lot of their wealth leading them to support the oligarchy.
