Galileo Galilei and Sir Isaac Newton are known to be most closely associated with conducting investigative experiments. Sir Isaac Newton even though an egotistical person, he always recognized the work of those people earlier than him, most especially the works of Galileo Galilei.  Both are also mathematicians, authors of books, a well-known scientist and a person who disagree with the church. Isaac Newton discovered the gravity force while he is sitting under the tree. Meanwhile, Galileo has an activity that is most closely associated with it. It is when he observed that the objects are going back to their natural position similar to an apple that falls and trying to go back to the ground.

Answer:

(3) conducting investigative experiments

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

(1) initiating religious reforms

(2) leading political revolutions

(3) conducting investigative experiments

(4) engaging in foreign conquests

These two scientists and researchers are most closely associated with the activity of conducting investigative experiments.

Galileo Galilei was an astronomer, physicist and engineer. Among the many subjects that he studied are speed and velocity; gravity and free fall; relativity; inertia; projectile motion; the properties of pendulums; compasses and astronomical principles through the use of the telescope.

On the other hand, Issac Newton was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian and author. Among his interests were classical mechanics, optics, calculus, the laws of motion, planetary motion, and the theory of colour.
