A field sobriety test is a test implemented by police authorities in the case of suspicion of a person having driven after drinking alcohol or doing drugs. The police officer gives the driver the test once he/she has has stopped the person, so as to define if the person represents a danger on the road.
If the person does represent a danger, is arrested. After this, breath and blood tests are performed on the individual in order to elucidate the presence of alcohol or drus in his/her organism.
