How can you determine the number of solutions for an equation?
quester [9]
When working out an equation, if the result comes out like : x = 2, or y = 4.....a variable equal to a number, then there is 1 solution

if the result comes out like : 0 = 4, or 2 = 6...no variable and an incorrect result, then the equation has no solutions because ur lines are parallel.

if the result comes out like : 2 = 2 or 5 = 5...no variable and a true statement, then there will be infinite solutions because ur lines are coincident...they are the same line

Tell whether the ratios form a proportion.

1 to 3 and 7 to 21
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

yes they form a proportion

Step-by-step explanation:

1 to 3 and 7 to 21 are equal

we can check this by multiplying each number in the 1 to 3 ratio by 7 to make it equal with the other ratio, 7 to 21.

(sorry if this is confusing but I hope it helped)

katrin [286]

Answer:

top: 0.7, 0.9

bottom:7/10

0.7 = 7/10 because 7 is under tens. If it was 0.34 = 34/100 because 34 is in the hundereds. If it was 0.100 = 100/1000 because 100 is under the thousands. pls brainly trying to level up
