  • The weather is dominated by cloud formation at all levels in the atmosphere as the Low-level clouds start from 0-2 km, Mid-level clouds form from 2-7 km and High-level clouds (5-13 km).
  • High level of clouds ranges from cirrocumulus, cirrus, and cirrostratus. The mid-level clouds are altocumulus, altostratus, and nimbostratus. And the lower level clouds are stratus, cumulus, cumulonimbus, and stratocumulus.
  • The high-level form above 20,000 feet and middle level from 6500 to 20,000 feet and lower occur below 6500 feet. The low-level clouds can develop into a thunderstorm.
  • Apart from this, there are several types of clouds like Wall clouds, Shelf clouds and Fractured clouds, and punch hole clouds.
