1. Due to the laws of inertia if an object is stopped abruptly the
force of the moving object translates to whatever object it is in
contact with which will cause the person not wearing the seatbelt to be
propelled forward with the force of the car.
2. The stopping distance
changes if constant resistance is applied against two different forces
of varying magnitude such that the larger the force the greater the
stopping distance.
3. For the same Kinetic Energy the stopping
distance of a small vehicle will be less than the larger vehicle due to
the conversion of inertia.
4. The best way to prepare for sharp curves is to slow down the car before taking the curve.
5.
Due to the laws of inertia and conservation of momentum the faster the
car is moving the greater inertia that it will exert and the greater
momentum it will generate forward which if the car comes to a stop is
translated to the passengers inside which propels them forward with an
equivalent force which will be more pronounced as the object being
propelled by the same acceleration is now much smaller.
According to the
census of 1790, there were about seven hundred thousand slaves of African
ancestry lived in the colonies, (precisely 694,280) with the most living in the state of Virginia where 292,627 enslaved Africans were counted. Although
there had been some skepticism about the counting that it might be undercounted.

Tariffs particularly favored the North and their manufacturing plants. By imposing a Protective Tariff on imports from foreign lands, the Northern manufacturers would benefit because since imports from foreign nations, say Britain, were now very expensive, natives would buy from the much cheaper Northern manufacturers. This is what it means to be "protective." It was "protecting" the factories in the North.
The South particularly disliked these tariffs because they did not have any interest in the North benefiting from their money.
