Determine whether each example represents continental drift or sea floor spreading.
laila [671]

Answer:

Sea floor spreading-> Oceanic ridge and Magma pushing two plates apart

Continental drift-> Concept of pangaea and Oceanic plates sliding under continental crust

Explanation:

Due to the divergent plate movement, the magma come out to the surface, forming the mid oceanic ridge and this separation of plates on the sea floor is known as the sea floor spreading. The magma here pushes the two plates to move apart because of the convection current that generates in the mantle. One example of mid oceanic ridge is the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Continental drift refers to the slow and gradual movement of the lithospheric plates over the viscous asthenosphere layer. This motion of continents takes place because of the plate tectonic movement. Due to this plate motion, the denser plate gets subducts beneath the less denser plates. For example, the oceanic crust when collides with a continental crust, it gets subducted because of its higher density. The great supercontinent "pangaea" also formed and separated due to this plate motion.

Answer:

A. 3

B. 4

C. 5

D. 6

E. 2

F. 1

Explanation:

1. Integumentary system.

This is an organ system that consists of hair, skin, nails and exocrine glands with receptors that senses the outer stimulus and environmental conditions, through homeostasis maintain stability of the internal environment.

2. Nervous system.

It receives sensory information and signals, convert them to nerve impulses that are transmitted to the body and brain via the spinal cord using nuerons and axons. It also intergrates, retains and analyses information in the brain.

3.Endocrine system.

Secretes hormones and chemicals in response to stimulus from the nervous system to maintain balance using feedback loops i.e, negative and positive.

4. Lymphatic system.

Part of the immune system that consist of vessels that carries lymph, cleaning the blood by filtering lymph with foreign particles into the lymph node.

5. Urinary system.

Used to eliminate waste from the body, regulates blood pressure, volume and pH. It also used to retain electrolytes and metabolites.

6. Respiratory system.

Used for gaseous exchange using the blood, heart and lungs. Air enters the lungs, transported by blood and is pumped by the heart to all body parts where oxygen is dropped, carbon dioxide is collected by the veins to the lungs and released to the atmosphere.

Explain how famine, disease, and war are more likely with larger populations.
Iteru [2.4K]
Famine- High population means more mouths to feed
Disease- Diseases usually spread more quickly with people who live closer( as it can just move from one person to the other)
War- People like to fight for land, resources, money, etc. And having more of those things mean they are more able to support families, communities, and more.

(Hope this helps a little)

krok68 [10]

Answer: -plants

-animal waste

Explanation:

Fossil fuels are the fuels which are generated after a long time taking geological process over the buried organic matter obtain from dead animals, animal dung and plants. The organic matter remain under the heap of earth crust under intense heat and pressure. The heat and pressure generate fuels which are valuable for the entire society as when they are burned they produce huge amount of thermal energy. These includes the crude oil like petroleum, natural gas and coal.
