Spiders can see ultraviolet light which is invisible to humans

Explanation:

Spiders can see green and ultraviolet wavelengths of light. However, most of them are nocturnal and also have a poor vision. They can see ultraviolet and green light with the help of special pigments in their eyes. They use this light-reflecting vision to recognize and attract their mates for pairing, hunting, preying, and to recognize their rivals.

Spiders detect polarized light with which they navigate and hunt.

Further, they are fluorescent arthropods with ‘light-reflecting crystals’ called the tapetum which gives their eyes a shiny silvery appearance. They are provided with multiple eyes according to their species.

Because spiders can see green and ultraviolet colors. They are also very sensitive to green wave light.

Further explanation

Spiders are a type of animal that has with booklets or arthropods with two body segments, wingless, four pairs of legs, and no chewing mouth. All types of spiders are classified in the Araneae order.

Spiders do have eight eyes. But their ability to see is lacking, especially to respond to color.

In his research, experts observed how spiders react when they see a video of a spider who is seducing the opposite sex to mate. Here, experts manipulate the background color, contrast, and intensity of the video.

This spider order is further divided into three broad groups at the suborder level, namely:

 • Mesothelae, which is a poisonous primitive spider, with clearly visible body segments; shows a closer kinship with their ancestors, namely the extensive arthropods.
 • Mygalomorphae or Orthognatha, the spider group that makes hiding burrows, and also that makes pitfalls in the ground.
 • Araneomorphae is a 'modern' spider group. Most of the spiders encountered belong to this suborder, bearing in mind that the members consist of 95 tribes and cover approximately 94% of the total species of spider.
