In what ways is the Texas Constitution of 1836 like today's U.S. Constitution?
KatRina [158]

Answer:

It called for a careful separation of church and state.

Explanation:

The Constitution of Texas of 1836 was established after Texas declared its independence from Mexico. This established the Republic of Texas. The constitution that was designed for this republic was very short, and it resembled that of the United States. One of the elements that these two share is the establishment of a careful separation between church and state.
