How long was the rivalry between Burr and Hamilton?
alekssr [168]
I'm not sure about the first one but,
Philip Hamilton was killed  in a duel by George I. Eacker.
Hamilton did not want to die because he and Burr were dueling in the same place Philip had died, and he did not want to leave behind the rest of his family, including his wife Eliza.
There's a lot of this info in the second act of the Hamilton Musical Soundtrack, if you need more help.

President Hoover believed that the government should respond to the Great Depression by ??
swat32

The government represented by president Hoover in the fall of 1929, responded to the Great Depression; wide spreading unemployment during the 1930s and exacerbating an already difficult situation. The government spent millions of dollars on various relief programs. Most, however, were ineffective. Dole rations, for example, were heavily policed and much too small to live on; land settlement also ended in failure. At the same time the government increased relief spending, it also contributed to the crisis by laying off employees and making cuts to health care, education, and other social programs.

List 3 reform movements that came out of the Second Great Awakening.
romanna [79]

Answer:

In antebellum America, a religious revival called the Second Great Awakening resulted in thousands of conversions to evangelical religions. Itinerant preachers, such as Charles Granison Finney, traveled from town to town, lecturing to crowds about eradicating sin in the name of perfectionism. Camp meetings, or large religious gatherings, also gave the devout opportunities to practice their religion and for potential conversions of non-believers. In addition to a religious movement, other reform movements such as temperance, abolition, and women's rights also grew in antebellum America. The temperance movement encouraged people to abstain from consuming alcoholic drinks in order to preserve family order. The abolition movement fought to abolish slavery in the United States. The women's rights movement grew from female abolitionists who realized that they too could fight for their own political rights. In addition to these causes, reforms touched nearly every aspect of daily life, such as restricting the use of tobacco and dietary and dress reforms.
