The short story of “flying” by Alice Miller is about a girl named Allie Lester who has to make the choice between keeping her promise or flying by breaking it. The story starts with Allie who is of the six years. The idea and the experience of flying leaves her in awe an she thinks about the same again and again. She breaks the promise quite a lot times throughout the story experiencing the freedom by flying and breaking her promise.
