When Juliet returns from her visit to Friar Laurence, seemingly repentant, Lord Capulet decides he wants her to marry Paris the next day. Lady Capulet complains that they won't have enough time to prepare, but her husband overrules her. Lady Capulet enters to inquire if her daughter requires any assistance in preparing for her wedding day. Juliet says she's ready and requests to be left alone.
