How do we learn more vocabulary?

By reading and looking in vocabulary books. You can use a word a day calendar and learn words that way. There are websites that you can use. But reading is ultimately the best way to do that.

Read books that are slightly challenging to read (i.e. meant to be read by someone a few years older than you), pick up a dictionary once in a while etc...
