Natron<span> is a naturally occurring product frequently harvested from lake beds. It was used by the Egyptians to dry out the bodies of the deceased in an elaborate mummification process. It is a mixture of </span>sodium carbonate<span> and </span>sodium bicarbonate<span>, and can vary in color from white to gray or yellow depending on its purity.
