Islamism and Christianity had their origin in the Middle East. Both religions have remarkable similarities and differences. As for their similarities, they are all monotheistic (belief in one God); they have sacred works (Quran and Bible, respectively) and preach social justice and respect and love of neighbor. Everyone preaches a life beyond death. There are prophets and places that are common to all of them: Jerusalem is a holy city for the two religions, both for Christians and Muslims. Abraham appears as one of the prophets of the two religions (the Muslims translate Abraham for Ibhrain). Finally, both condemn self-murder as a mortal sin.
