old words are actually in the brackets [])
Now, Mr. Bumble was a fat man, and a [choleric]; so, instead of responding to this open-hearted salutation in a kindred spirit, he gave the little wicket a tremendous shake, and then bestowed upon it a kick which could have emanated from no leg but a beadle's.

…..

Oliver, having had by this time as much of the outer coat of dirt which [encrusted] his face and hands, removed, as could be scrubbed off in one washing, was led into the room by his benevolent protectress.

…..

The boys polished them with their spoons till they shone again; and when they had performed this operation (which never took very long, the spoons being nearly as large as the bowls), they would sit staring at the copper, with such eager eyes, as if they could have devoured the very bricks of which it was composed; employing themselves, meanwhile, in sucking their fingers most [assiduously], with the view of catching up any stray splashes of gruel that might have been cast thereon.

c) bad-tempered

At the end of “The White Horse,” Lawrence writes that the boy and the horse “are in another world.”
rodikova [14]

I would argue that the right answer is the first one: It elevates the relationship between the boy and the horse, suggesting that it is special and unique and private. D. H. Lawrence is well-known for his poems revolving around the spiritual life of plants and animals. In this one in particular, he is bringing together a young person and a white horse, both pure creatures that, precisely because of their natures, understand each other and communicate without words, reaching a degree of trust and rapport that transports them to another, more intimate and private, world.

:. After I moved to Miami I had to get
the weather.
used too
used to
use to
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Used to

Explanation:

"Too" means as well or excessively, so that does not make sense if you were to say "After I moved to Miami I had to get used too (as well/excessively) the weather."

Use to is in present tense, but if you will notice that whoever wrote the sentence used "After I movED", which shows its in past tense, and you cannot mix up past and present tense in the same sentence like that.

Hope this helps and isn't TOO confusing ! :)
